In Loving Memory

In working with sled dogs it is inevitable that many of them will pass away in the course of our lifetime and with each passing the loss is felt deeply.

All of these dogs have left their paw prints on our hearts and souls. They have taught us so much about the ways of their kind, allowing us to become better care givers, finely attuned to their needs through our constant interactions. Some pass away from old age, some from illness. Some stay for only a few years, while others are fortunate to share an entire lifetime here at the Sanctuary.

Read through the pages and share with us the memories of those who have past and left their paw prints deep in our heart.

Even though their collars and harnesses hang silently on the wall as a reminder and testament to their full life, it is in these memories of how they touched our lives that tells their most important story.
